About The Review Shelf

Your guide to stories worth your time

Welcome to The Review Shelf, an independent entertainment publication that helps you decide what to watch and read next. We cover movies, web series, K-dramas, C-dramas, anime, reality and variety shows, and books, with clear reviews, ratings and recommendations.

Why this site exists

There is more to watch than ever. Between Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and dozens of other platforms, choosing a title can take longer than watching it. Many reviews online are either too generic to help or too promotional to trust.

The Review Shelf was created to offer something better: clear, detailed and honest guidance so you can pick your next watch with confidence.

Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Bhumika Sanon, the creator and editor of The Review Shelf, based in New Delhi, India. I started this site because I love stories and wanted a place where viewers could find useful, straightforward opinions without the noise.

What you’ll find here

  • In-depth analysis of movies, series and books, covering storytelling, characters and overall impact.
  • Honest opinions with clear pros and cons.
  • Recommendations by mood, genre and audience, so you can find the right fit quickly.
  • Guides and rankings that compare titles side by side, with ratings and where to watch.
  • Special focus on K-dramas, trending series and popular entertainment that readers are actively looking for.

How we work

Trust matters more than traffic, so here is how we create our content:

  • Independent opinions. Our ratings are our own. Studios, platforms and brands do not influence them.
  • Clear labeling. Reviews are based on our own viewing or reading. Guides and roundups combine public information, such as platform data and audience ratings, with editorial judgment. We say so in the article when we haven’t watched a title in full.
  • Honest sourcing. We draw on official announcements, recognized data services, reputable media and audience rating sites, and we note when figures come from a platform’s own press release.
  • Transparency about money. Some links may be affiliate links, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes our ratings. Sponsored content is always clearly disclosed.
  • Corrections. If we get something wrong, tell us at bhumikasanon805@gmail.com and we will review and fix it.
  • AI note We may use AI-based tools to help with research and drafting. Every article is reviewed and published under our editorial responsibility.
